Fiducial Cosmic Explorer Locations to use for Calculations
The locations for Cosmic Explorer have not yet been determined. To allow reproducable calculations we have chosen two example locations that are not physically viable (they are in the ocean) but are widely separated and close to the continental United States. One may find a discussion of this in this publication accepted by CQG: https://arxiv.org/abs/2307.10421
Since the locations of the CE observatories have yet to be determined, we selected two fiducial locations for CE; CE-A off the coast of Washington state, and CE-B off the coast of Texas. The link above additionally contains a table with the latitudes and longitudes. We recommend that for your calculations you adopt these locations as well. As our efforts to identify locations progress, we will regularly report to the Cosmic Explorer Consortium.
